The short version
We need a commercial tech who has already done the work — someone who can walk into a warehouse, look at a wall of sectional doors and dock levelers, and know exactly what they're looking at. Our commercial side is growing fast: preventive maintenance contracts, dock equipment, and full door replacements across Metro Vancouver.
What you'll work on
- Commercial sectional and rolling steel doors — springs, cables, tracks, panels, full replacements
- Loading dock equipment: dock levelers, shelters, seals, bumpers, restraints
- Commercial operators (jackshaft, trolley, hoist) — install, service, troubleshooting
- Preventive maintenance routes for warehouses and strata portfolios
- Site surveys and honest, clear recommendations that our office turns into quotes
What you need to bring
- Real commercial experience — several years on overhead doors, and hands-on time with loading dock equipment. This is not an entry-level or resi-only posting.
- Comfort working at height, with high-tension springs, and around active loading docks
- A clean driving record and the professionalism to represent a family brand in front of clients
- Photos-and-notes discipline: our jobs are documented properly, every time
